About myself
I have recently given the IPA for 2024 batch, so I think I am suitable to answer this question. It was my first attempt and I have scored 87 marks.

Prepartion Strategy
Exactly one month before the IPA test, a mail came to register for the IPA exam, and so I registered for it. I am not from CS/IT background and I did C++ for placements. But in IPA 2024, only Java was there to code. So, I started preparing 10 days before the exam XD. And I made a plan according to the sectional weightage.

I started practicing Java IPA Previous Year Questions from YouTube and pdf and started doing UI course from Xplore side by side, as I built web dev projects, so I was comfortable with it. I end up practicing almost 40-50 Java PYQs, and completed HTML, CSS courses provided by TCS Xplore within 3-4 days. Then, in next couple of days, I revised SQL queries from Love Babbar's playlist and went through the KYT, BizSkill, Java, and Unix PYQs MCQ and some YouTube videos.
Study Material in TCS Xplore: "Java Learning Path 1" (LinkedIn courses), "Xplore Hands on", "Technical recording", and "Know Your Organization".
How to attempt IPA: I did 2 Java coding questions first, and after that I moved to MCQ section. [Yes, we can go to any section any time]. As, solving 2 coding question will guarantee me 50 marks, so rest 30+ marks I have to score from 50 MCQs. Also, I kept track of the approximate score I solved correctly. In MCQs section, almost 7-8 questions were from PYQs, in which 3-4 were from KYT.
Tip for Java coding: PYQs and YouTube videos of PYQs will be very helpful. As both questions were of sampe pattern as of PYQs.
Mistake I did: I haven't prepared for PLSQL as I thought only SQL will come, so I lost my 5 marks there.
Its not the Elimination test.
Even if you don't score more than 55% You will get your joining letter. So, don't worry.
From mail:
