Previous Compensation : 20 LPA (15 Base + 5 Additional) Recently Laid Off from a Noida based startup

Estimated Average Base Pay for Confluent Solution Engineer as per Glassdoor : ₹13.8L–₹33.8L per year, which includes base salary and additional pay.

Applied via Instahyre. Got a recruiter phone call and she assessed previous experience. Was told it will be a customer facing role. Handed over a STS Interview Prep Guide for whole process. (April,2024)

Round 1: Role Fitment Screening
A 20 min zoom meet with the Hiring Manager (Presales Leader at Confluent) talking about my previous experience and asking me what a Solution Engineer does.

Round 2: Tech Screening + Coding
A 1 hr round where in I was screened on various DevOps and cloud technologies in the first half, and had a Code Comprehension in the second half

Round 3: Architecture White-Boarding and Presentation
A 1 hr round where in I have to dive deep on a Shopping app architecture (think System Design and Network Diagrams) and then in second half have to present/sell/defend a Product with a presentation in front of a Panel.

Verdict : Excelled in all the rounds and had a Positive feedback. Was informed by the recruiter that a final call with hiring manager will be scheduled next week. But didn't get any calls for a month. Finally recruiter says they are not sure with hiring and you can apply for other similar roles.

Will update on this If i get any progress.
