I recently applied to Swiggy through a cold email and received a call from HR to schedule the first interview.

Round 1: Technical (1 Hr)

1. Question 1:
   Input:
   a = "ABC"
   b = "DEFGH"

   Output: "ADBECFGH"

2. Question 2:
   Sort an array of 0s and 1s. (Link)

3. Asked me to open Swiggy's website, add items to the cart, and write tests for that page.

4. Discussed how to test an API and some theoretical questions about testing, including regression testing, white box vs. black box testing.

5. Talked about my previous internship experience.

Round 2: Technical (1 Hr)

1. Balanced parentheses. (Link)

2. Two Sum problem. (Link)

3. Object-Oriented Programming concepts.

4. Similar testing related questions to Round 1.

Round 3: Hiring Manager (1 Hr)

1. Implement a stack and queue.

2. Print the frequencies of every element in a given string.

3. Discuss scenarios for testing a login screen.

4. Differences between SQL and NoSQL databases, their advantages, and when to use each.

5. Questions on scaling (horizontal vs. vertical), monolithic vs. microservices architecture, and load balancers.

6. Different types of testing, including performance testing and the parameters to monitor.

7. Experience with AWS and Kafka (I had no experience with these).

8. Explained caching and where it can be used in Swiggy’s application.

9. Discussion about my previous internship and how testing was done there.

A few hours later, I received a call saying that I had been selected!
