Hi LeetCoders,

We are committed to ensuring a fair and competitive environment for all participants in our contests. Recently, we have banned many users who were found to have engaged in cheating. For new users who may not be familiar with LeetCode contest rules, please be mindful of the guidelines.

🚫 A Strong Warning Against Cheating

Our advanced cheating detection tool identifies similar codes, and we conduct manual reviews to confirm any dishonest behavior. Once we detect any cheating behavior on your account, we will apply penalties WITHOUT PRIOR WARNINGS and the PENALTIES WILL NOT BE WAIVED FOR ANY REASON.

If you are caught cheating for the first time:

  • ❗️ You will be banned from participating in contests for one month.
  • Your score for the contest will be set to zero.
  • Your LeetCoins will be reset to zero.

If you cheat again, the consequences will be even more severe:

  • 🚫 Permanent account deactivation without appeal, meaning you will be permanently banned from all contests and unable to engage in discussions.
  • Your score for the contest will be set to zero.
  • Your LeetCoins will be reset to zero.

👮 Reporting Cheating

If you identify any cheating and would like to share your insights with LeetCode, please report it directly to our support team at support@leetcode.com. This method allows us to efficiently track and handle reports. Posting about cheaters in the community can make it difficult for our support team to follow up adequately. While we do review cheating reports from the discussion community, submitting reports through our support email is more effective for tracking and resolution.

We strive to process all confirmed cases of cheating. If you find any users we may have missed, please report them to us, and we will review and ban them if they are found to be cheating.
