Recruitment Process:
The recruitment process for HSBC Software Development India was conducted on-campus and comprised four rounds: an online coding test, an HSBC value assessment test, a technical interview, and an HR interview.

Round 1: Online Coding Test
The first round was an online coding test which included a mix of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and two coding questions. The MCQs tested fundamental programming concepts and problem-solving abilities. The coding questions were designed to assess algorithmic thinking and coding skills. The questions required a good understanding of data structures and algorithms to solve efficiently.

Round 2: HSBC Value Assessment Test
The second round was the HSBC value assessment test. This test focused on evaluating the candidate's alignment with HSBC’s core values and work culture. It included situational judgment questions aimed at understanding how a candidate would handle various scenarios in the workplace. This round was crucial in determining if the candidate’s values matched those of the organization.

Round 3: Technical Interview
The third round was the technical interview. This interview was conducted by senior developer from HSBC (only 1 interviewer). The interview focused on the my technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and understanding of software development principles.

**Topics covered included:**
	1. Data structures and algorithms
	2. Object-oriented programming concepts
	3. Database management
	4. System design
	5. Coding skills (Asked me to write a few codes - Pattern printing, two sum etc.,)

The interviewers also asked about projects and internships listed on my resume, probing into the technical details and the role I played in each project.

Round 4: HR Interview
The final round was the HR interview. This round was more relaxed and aimed at assessing my fit within the company culture. The HR interviewer asked questions about my background, experiences, career aspirations, and why I wanted to join HSBC. There were also discussions about the job role, company policies, and employee benefits.

Overall, the recruitment process was well-structured and thorough, focusing on both technical skills and cultural fit. I was delighted to receive an offer.

Prepare for Coding: Make sure to practice coding problems on platforms like LeetCode and HackerRank. Focus on data structures and algorithms.
