About me: I graduated in 2023 from a tier-1 college and now work as an automation engineer at a large customer experience management company. I recently applied for a job as an Associate Software Development Engineer (Backend) at Swiggy. I passed all the interview stages, including one online assessment, two interviews on low level design, and one with the hiring manager. However, Swiggy's salary offer is less than half of what I currently earn at my current organization. I was open to taking a pay cut for a change in role, but now HR at Swiggy says they won't give me the offer letter unless I quit my current job first. Normally, people resign after getting the job offer in hand, but Swiggy's recruitment team is making it difficult. They don't know how to hire good engineer's, they are taking advantage of the current job market.
Beaware of these companies and specifically the recruitement team.
