Online Assessment(2 hrs)
There were 3 questions from number theory, graph, and DP(One question from each topic). Questions were on a medium-difficult level. I was able to solve all the 3 questions in 45 minutes.
Data Structures/Algorithms Round(1 hr):
The interview began with a standard introduction with two interviewers. Following that, they presented me with two questions to solve, allotting a one-hour timeframe. The initial question was a Leetcode medium-level problem based on binary search, and the second involved strings and permutations, which was a Leetcode hard question. I successfully solved both problems with optimal complexities in 40 minutes. The remaining 10 minutes were dedicated to a casual discussion about Zeta and its work culture.
Computer Science Fundamentals Round(1 hr):
This round again had two interviewers, and I started this round with my introduction. The conversation then moved on to discussions about my projects, lasting for about 10 minutes. Subsequently, the interviewers shared a Google Doc link, and asked me to explain and code writing for all four pillars of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). They focused much on the run-time polymorphism part and asked deep questions on that part. Then the asked questions on exception handling, try-catch blocks, and SQL-related questions, involving both joins and subqueries. The discussion then moved on to operating systems, with questions about deadlock. Towards the end, I asked about their roles in the Zeta and my potential responsibilities if I were to be hired.
Fitment Round(30 mins):
Upon clearing the Computer Science fundamentals round, I learned about the next round scheduled for the following day at 10:45 AM. I prepared for general HR questions, I revisited my projects and technical concepts. The interview started off with an introduction from the interviewer, followed by my self-introduction. We discussed my projects, and I was cross-questioned on my projects and internships. The conversation then shifted to situational questions regarding the company, teams, and conflict resolution. Additionally, I responded to typical HR-related questions, such as future aspirations and reasons for being a suitable candidate. After 30 minutes, the interviewer expressed satisfaction, and I took the opportunity to ask questions about him and Zeta.
