3-4 technical Rounds + 1 HM round + 1 HR round -
Technical Round 1 (1 hour) :
- Basic Project Discussion
- Asteroid Collision Problem (https://leetcode.com/problems/asteroid-collision/description/)
- Count all Islands (Connected Components in a graph)
- SQL Queries around Deduplicating data
- How would be perform deduplication at scale?
Technical Round II (1 hour) :
- Project Discussion
- kth largest element in an array (Interviewer was looking for the Optimized solution)
- Postorder traversal of a Binary Tree using one stack and two stack (iterative) - Was a little slow to come up with the single stack approach and code it.
Technical Round III (1 hour) : This was a Design Round (mix of HLD and LLD where classes and DB schema design expected)
- Project Description,
- Design a user generated content system for posting reviews and ratings
- Questions around how various parts of the service will be handled
- How censoring of reviews will be handled and where it should be placed in the design
- How we would calculate average rating if we want to
- Tech questions regarding advantages of using one technology over the other in the design
Technical Round IV (1 hour) : Feedback from Round 2 was weak hire. So had to take another DSA round. I had solved both problems in round 2. But maybe due to the speed of programming single stack approach in postorder traversal, the interviewer gave a weak hire.

HM Round (30 mins) :
- Deep dive on projects
- Why particular choices were made? Questions on AWS services and their use cases e.g. AWS EC2, Lambda etc.
- Tell me about a time when you worked under tight deadlines
- Tell me about a time when you received constructive feedback from your manager or someone in your team.
HR Round (30 mins) :
- Brief career progression intro
- Which was your favourite place to work so far and why?
- What are your career aspirations? Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
- Why do you want to join Myntra?
- Why do you think we should hire you?
Result : Pending.
EDIT : Was called for another HM Round as they thought I would be much better suited for another team. Earlier I was being recruited for Automation Engineering team but the new HM was from Myntra Data Platform Team. Data Platform Team is one of the central teams of Myntra as it handles data pipelines and services for every ounce of data served on the Myntra platform, and this attracted me even more to the role, as working with Big Data would be a good learning experience as an engineer.
HM Round (1 hour) :
- Basic Introduction and Projects
- Find missing number in an array. What if multiple numbers are missing? HM was looking for less than O(max_number) time complexity.
- How does order by query work in SQL? -> External Sorting : How to sort a large file using a small amount of RAM?
e.g. RAM = 1GB and file size = 100 GB
External Sorting using chunking + Merge Sort. Explained the basics to him. He was more interested in how the merge process.
- How will the merging step actually work? How will we index chunks within the disk and know which chunk should be placed where inside the resultant file?
