Hello, recently Amazon conducted an in-campus Internship Program at our college, offering two roles: Business Intelligence and Software Development Intern. I was fortunate to be shortlisted and encountered an intriguing first round consisting of 66 questions across 14 sections. Surprisingly, there was only one coding question, akin to the dynamic programming problem resembling 300. Longest Increasing Subsequence.

The remaining sections encompassed a diverse array of topics, ranging from algorithmic MCQs covering 0/1 knapsack, Huffman coding, to questions about array initialization and various data structures. The interview also delved into System Design, Data Visualization (utilizing Python and Power BI), Data Modeling, Software Testing Methodologies, Computer Networks, OOPs, DBMS, Operating Systems, Data Structures, Coding Algorithms, and Linux.

Despite the comprehensive nature of the assessment, the difficulty level was considered medium. The time limit of 2 hours posed a challenge, especially given the breadth of topics covered. An interesting observation was that while companies do inquire about Data Structures and Algorithms, the questions are not excessively challenging. The advice gleaned from this experience underscores the importance of focusing on all engineering subjects, not just DSA. Dedication to solving 1-2 questions a day proved sufficient, and in my case, I was able to complete the Longest Increasing Subsequence question in just 4 minutes.

Above all, the key takeaway is the significance of having a solid understanding of various technical subjects. Interviewers are likely to explore a broad spectrum of topics, emphasizing the need for a well-rounded preparation approach.
