Online Coding Round : HackwithInfy2022

  • 3 questions of Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Total time : 3 hours
  • 1st question was of medium level
  • 2nd and 3rd questions were of medium - hard level

I was able to solve 2nd question completely and 1st question for 20% test cases, i.e., my score was 1.2 for the round.

After about a month results came on 18th April 2022 and I got a Pre-Placement Interview(PPI) Opportunity for the role of Digital Specialist Engineer.

After more than a month of waiting, my interview was scheduled on 10th June 2022.

There was only a single round of interview on MS Teams Platform.

Online Interview Round
The interview started at 10 am in the morning and continued for approx 30 mins only.

The questions asked in the interview :-

  • Introduction

  • Give a brief about the projects mentioned in the resume

  • Can you showcase some of your projects by sharing your screen (Live Demo) ?

  • What is Node JS ( as I had projects in Node JS)

  • Is Node JS synchronous or asynchronous

  • Some questions from DBMS:

    • What is Data Redundancy?
    • What is Normalization?
    • What is 1st Normal Form?

  • A basic programming question

    • The ques was very easy and straight forward.
    • I was asked to share my screen and write the code.
    • For every number from 1 to 20 , check if it is divisible by 3 , 5 or both or not divisible by either and print corresponding messages.
    • I gave a solution for O(1) Time Complexity and O(1) Space Complexity.
    • The interviewer was impressed by my solution.

  • What are APIs?

  • What is REST API?

  • Tell difference between REST API and GRAPHQL?

Some behavioural questions

  • Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
  • Any questions for me ?

After approx 1.5 months, I recieved the mail from Infosys that I have grabbed an offer for the role of DSE on 29th July 2022. Package: 6.25 LPA

The overall interview experience was very smooth. The interviewer was very nice and friendly.
The process was also very quick throughout. :)
