Amazon :->

Phone round :
Questions :

  • Explain all css position properties.
  • Explain Z index.
  • Then he moved to javascript -> explain how broswer works , closures, implement deep copy and flatten an array without using any javascript method.
  • Then he asked me to implement Star rating component (this is an extremely popular interview question).
  • After than 2 behavioral questions.

I absolutely nailed this round, probably one of the best interview i have ever given. The interviewer even told me that i have done a great job.

I didn't receive any update for next 2 weeks. After that I mailed them and the very next day they mailed me that They can't give any exact reason and they are not moving forward with my application. I was totally heartbroken that time (really very sad because the interview went really really well). Again I mailed them and asked them very politely to give me the exact reason for rejection and i didn't get any update after that.

**Informatica : **

OA :
I dont remember the exact questions but it was almost like this.

  • 2 problem solving questions (very very basic DS algo questions)
  • 1 questions from react - you have given a text and you have to give color to each and every letter, every second the color will change. It should happen infinite times.
  • Then there were 3 behavioral questions.you have to record and then you have to submit.

Next day recruiter called me and said i passed , the very next first onsite interview

Onsite interview : Only on react js -> exact questions i shared

  • how virtual dom works
  • Implement a custom hook (any -> i implemented usewindowresize)
  • call api and render and create a table view
  • difference between useeffect and uselayouteffect
  • any idea on react portals (i answered that)
  • as i told him i know react saga then he asked the react with redux saga flow
  • last question was around very basic redux questions

I answered all of them , one week no reply from them. I mailed them they immediately replied no interviewer is currently available and they will get back to me as soon as possible (I am still waiting lol).

Adobe : On of the absolute best interview experience for me :)

First round :

  • Very tricky question on output - based on closures (not able to answer that)
  • call, apply and bind
  • polyfills of bind
  • css questions - how to make any item center
  • accessibility questions
  • In my resume I mentioned i worked on SSO. He asked to the complete flow on how single sign on works.
  • Then one react coding question - question was to create a very simple form but main thing he want to know how will i validate that form.
  • last question - 1 ds algo - exact question from leetcode - JUMP GAME

I passe this round, recruiter informed me very next day.

Second round :
I completely messed up in this round.

I was not able solve https://leetcode.com/problems/permutations/ question. Got rejection mail after 3 days.

**Walmart : **

First round :
Exact questions :

I absolutely nailed this round. Completed in 35 minutes all questions.

Second round :

  • Lot of questions from basic css and html
  • hoisting concept
  • Closures
  • add two numbers using promise
  • callback hell with example
  • es6 features - in very details she want to know

I answered all of them

manager round :

  • my full day at work
  • some design questions
  • in depth questions from my current project
  • explain Front end architecture of my current project
  • why leaving current organization

Then no reply for 2 weeks. I mailed them and finally positive result for the first time. And my offer discussion is on next monday. And i got excellent feedback from all the rounds HR said me.

Some interviews i will give in next couple of weks - Paypal, citrix

Now my complete strategy :
this is only for front end developers.

DS and Algo ->
I only completed 150 questions from this blind website , i think this will be almost enough for front end developers.
https://www.techinterviewhandbook.org/grind75

HTML and CSS ->

only from this two links will be more than enough.
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML

**JavaScript Hands on coding questions : **

• Slider/Carousel
• Form and form validation
• Accordian
• Api call and render data
• Star rating
• Tabs
• Create Table dynamically
• Pagination – to do using classes
• Infinite scroll
• To-do App
• Tic tac toe
• Typeahead
• Modal
• Fixed footer
• Fixed header/navbar
• Nested JSON
• Random color generator
• Timer countdown set
• Working with checkbox and radio and radio group and create custom
• Switch
• Progress bar
• Tooltip or Popup
• Traverse DOM tree
• Use Ajax , Fetch and async await to get data and show with loading
• Nested checkbox implement

I can guraantee you will get almost all questions from this list.

JavaScript Questions :

• Script tag first or last
• Call stack
• Event loop
• How js renders
• By value and by reference

• == vs === vs typeof
• Scope, function and block scope
• Function , IIFE

• DOM all features
• Bubbling vs capturing
• Event propagation
• Es6 classes and factory patterns
• Call, apply, bind
• Constructor, instances and new
• Prototype inheritance and prototype chain
• Objects , create and assign and all methods
• Map, reduce , find , some and filter
• Pure functions
• Higher order functions
• Collections – map, set , generator functions
• Callback and callback hell
• Promises
• Implement own promise
• All polyfills
• Partial functions
• Currying
• Debouncing
• Throttling
• Design patterns
• Async and await
• Shallow and deep copy
• Flat array without library function
• Nested object simplification
• Hoisting
• ES6 features
• Validate DOM tree – DOM Parser

I will add system design topics here in some day or two

I hope this post will help you.

Thanks.
