Recently I applied for meesho for the position of SDE. Overall interview experience was good
1 First round was machine coding round where the interviewer asked to design a soltuion for restaurant rating system something like a restaurant can have multiple branches and a restaurant can serve only one food item at all their branches. the customers can add a new restaurant or can search for available restuarant branches based on some pincodes. now the customer can also rate a food only for branches that matches his location at a restaurant. we have to show the overall average rating of a food, list all the ratings as well as list rating for an area.

Second round was mainly system design round where I had to implement some kind of rule engine. so rules can be either to increment/decrement a value from some third party apis, user should be able to schedule the rule at any time of the day, example a increment x to 1.5x at 10Am - 3PM now x can be from third party apis and this rule should increment the value at 10 Am and reverse its effect at 3PM. similary when there are million rules how we can efficiently schedule all these rules automatically, how to handle rule collision and what will happen if the rules fails to execute at the start time.

Later I was notified that they cannot move ahead with the interview after second round.
