4: Technical Round 2 (45 Min)
5: HR (30 Min)
I applied on Nagarro's career page. I got a call after 2-3 weeks from HR. More precisely it is on Saturday.
HR was in hurry, she told me please give the round 1 i.e. Aptitude. So that I can schedule Coding round to finish within this week.
I googled and got multiple interview experiences on Glassdoor. One interview experience exactly depicts all the rounds.
He wrote that if you want to clear Aptitude round just focus on which is easy and do "jay mata di" since you need to solve 30 questions in 20 minutes.
Round 1
I gave an Aptitude test on Sunday. I followed the same strategy, answered which I am able to solve and randomly tick B or C for hard problems since there is no negative marking.
Round 2
Fortunately, I was able to clear the first round. HR contacted me and schedule next round i.e. Coding Round. It contains 3 Questions.
1 Easy, 1 Medium, 1 Hard.
Coding Questions are as follows:
Round 3
HR contacted me after 2 days and scheduled my first Technical round.
I read a lot of interview experiences on the internet and prepare all the basics of statistics and ML concepts, etc.
On the day of the interview, Interviewer joined 10 minutes late. Then he apologized to me and told me the reason and ensured people in the Nagarro are very professional and this was not intentional.
I am kind of nervous. The interviewer observed that and tried to make me comfortable. He told me I am not going to kill you or drink water then we will start the interview. I told him we can start no problem.
He went through my Resume and then asked me "tell me about yourself". I gave him my short introduction. Also mention my key achievements. He is very much impressed with my resume. Then he told me to explain one of the projects..
I started explaining and mentioned that one of my project is in Patent stage. Then he started making jokes that he stole my patent and made me build similar kinds of projects here in Nagarro.
It was a very friendly interview, I can say. Then he asked me some basic questions on ML and SQL.
He also asked me if I know any cloud technology. Then he moved to one tricky statistics question.
He asked me my height. I told him 178cm. Then he creates one situation that goes like this. There is one river which has a depth of 174cm. He told me that if you don't have anything then how you will cross the river. Also which parameter in the statistics will help find confidence you will be able to cross the river.
If you want a solution to the problem let me know in the comment section.
He asked me why random forests are called random.
Difference between Regression and Classification Random Forest model.
I was able to answer and then Interviewer asked me if I had any questions.
I asked him about the Nagarro work culture and what kind of project we are working on..
I am very confident that I have cleared this round.
Round 4
After 2-3 days I got a call from HR and she scheduled my 2nd technical round for next week.
The interview started with "Tell me about yourself". I used the same strategy in my previous interview.
After that he started asking about NLP since I mentioned it in my resume. He asked me the difference between Stemming and lemmatization. Then asked me how you will convert the sentence into vectors. I told him Word2Vector, Term Frequency, etc. He asked me about LSTM architecture and I tried to explain with some examples. Then he started asking some complex questions which I had never heard before.
I politely told him I did an NLP based project in Internship so I don't have very in- depth knowledge since it's been 2 years back. He understood then shifted to Deep Learning. He asked me Backpropagation, gradient descent, etc.
After giving satisfactorily answering all the question he asked me some statistics questions
If we have left skewed data, tell me the relation between Mean, Median, Mode.
After answering the above question he asked me some basic statistics questions.
He also asked me the same question which is "why random forests are called random". I am prepared for this question thanks to the previous interviewer. He was impressed with my answer.
Then in the end he asked me if I had any questions.
I asked him some fixed questions and the interview ended.
Round 5
I called HR on Monday for status and she told me I have cleared the round and she will soon release the Offer letter after the HR Round.
This round is a formality Interviewer asked me for feedback. Asked me if I am willing to relocate to foreign country if required. Tried to negotiate the salary.
Some typical HR questions and Interview ends.
