YOE: 1+ as SDE1 in a Product based company

Round 1: (Online Assessment)

Conducted in Hackerrank
Duration: 1.5 hrs

• Question 1:
  Determine number of distinct subarrays that can be formed having at most of given number of odd elements
• Question 2:
  Given a number line from 0 to n and a string denoting sequence of moves, determine the number of subsequence of those moves that lead from given point x to end at another point y.
• Question 3:
  Given a list of weights select weights from the given list such that there sum does not exceed a given capacity.

solved all 3
After 2 days, I got call for the interview.

All 3 further rounds were conducted on same day

Round 2: (Machine coding round)

• Duration: 3 hrs
• Question : Design and code multilevel parking lot system.
  At the end of 2 hrs, I could not complete all the requirements given but he looked more into my design and also asked my design for the remaining requirements that I could not complete.
• I was asked to code the singleton design pattern and then we had a good discussion about the singleton desing pattern and I was able to answer all his question related to it.

Round 3: (Data structures and algorithms)

• Duration : 1 hr
• Discussed about previous round
• Question: similar to https://leetcode.com/problems/rotting-oranges/
  a lot of follow up questions were discussed based on above problem.

Round 4: (Hiring Manager round) :

• Duration: 1 hr
• Discussed about a DS & Algo question related to parking lot system.
• Asked about my current work.
• Asked me to explain about one of my projects in brief.

Got the result after 4-5 days of interview.

The interviewers and HR team were very friendly and the interview process was very smooth
