It was at a system design interview at Blink Health, Boston.
He asked me about designing Slack.

I started talking about how to design a chat server using normal Http design principles. Client-server model.

He wasnt convinced and he told me in the end slack is designed using message queues and I wanted you to use message queues and hence reject.

Just thinking is he really a dumb engineer who could not appreciate how other people would think differently or was i wrong? Any thoughts ?
