Had an interview round with a shared coding screen which kind of stuck out to me as a weird question to be asked. Maybe I was completely off topic but didn't really understand what the interviewer wanted.

I do not remember the exact question, but some design question - interviewer wanted to create a daily status report using git commits

What would you have done/think they wanted to see?
