In a an actual coding interview either on the phone or in person do they give examples of an input and proper output like you see with every leetcode question?

Or do they simply say create some algorithm that given x outputs y with no examples or other details?

To clarify, what Im asking is if you would only be given the problem or if it would come with an Example like in the picture below.
