Hi everyone,
I have a first-round coding interview coming up for the Software Engineer II - Full Stack position at PlayStation (Sony). The interview will be conducted via CoderPad and is said to focus primarily on problem-solving abilities in Java and JavaScript. I’m reaching out to the community to get insights from anyone who has recently interviewed for a similar role at Sony PlayStation.
Specifically, I’d like to know:
What types of coding problems were asked during your interview? Were they more algorithm-focused (e.g., data structures, dynamic programming, graphs) or did they include practical scenarios (e.g., building APIs, debugging existing code)?
Were there any system design or object-oriented programming questions?
How in-depth was the focus on Java and JavaScript? Did they expect proficiency with specific libraries or frameworks?
Were there any behavioral or situational questions you encountered?
I’m preparing with LeetCode for problem-solving and reviewing my knowledge of full-stack development concepts. Any advice, study resources, or experiences you could share would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!
