I saw the opening on LinkedIn and applied through thier website. I got a call back from the HR the very next day scheduling the interviews the next week. Had 3 rounds taken by an SSE, PM and finally Director of engineering.
Round 1.
- Write a program to solve sudoku ( was unable to solve it completely as i had ignored backtracking in my practice without i thought i would be able to do at run time but guess not :P )
- Impelemt LRU cache ( despite having solved it myself before i made a few sily mistakes while creating map/link list but the implementation was correct)
- LP questions
Round 2.
- Clone a tree node
- A variation of Median of Data stream with included some OOD
Round 3.
- All permutations of a string. (was able to do this with some difficulty) Follow up - how to handle duplicate characters. ( couldnt do this )
- Print tree in zig zag ( wasnt asked to code, explained thoroughly )
- How does HTTP work
- Previous project related questions
- What are interfaces useful for in real life applications.
The interview experience was great. The interviewers and HR were friendly and the whole process followed by the offer took around 2-3 weeks.
Salary expectation was met (posted in compensation) but i have another offer at hand which i am still negotiating so not sure if i will take this.
