I wanted to share a quick update on my interview process with UKG for the Senior Software Engineer position, which took place over four days. I applied through naukri.com and got a call from recruiter after that.

Round 1: This was a coding round conducted on HackerRank, where I tackled 3 questions—2 on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and 1 on Git. The session lasted 1.5 hours, and I found the difficulty level to be easy to medium.
Feedback: Positive.

Round 2: This was an interview with a Senior Architect. Given my experience with Java, the focus was on core Java concepts, including beans, their lifecycle, and multithreading. I was also asked to solve a DSA problem to print prime numbers from 1 to 200 with minimal time complexity, which I optimized successfully. The interview was 1 hour long and went well.
Feedback: Positive.

Round 3: This was with a Principal Software Engineer. We discussed Java and OOP concepts, followed by a DSA question where I had to verify if the sum of nodes from root to leaf equals a given input number. Although I hadn't seen this problem before, I wrote a solution in 15 minutes that the interviewer was happy with. The interview lasted 35 minutes.
Feedback: Positive.

Round 4: A face-to-face interview with another Principal Software Engineer at their Noida office. We discussed Java concepts, communication between services, HTTP vs. SOAP, and more. From database side, Clustered index vs non clustered index difference, what is index. The interview was okay.
Feedback: Positive with certain areas of improvements required.

Round 5: This was a technical managerial round with two panelists. They asked a mix of C, C++, and Java questions, including topics like malloc vs. calloc, segmentation faults, and the differences between ConcurrentHashMap and synchronized HashMap. The interview was hard for me as I didn't answer half of the questions. The interview lasted 30 minutes.
Feedback: Positive.

Round 6: The final round was an HR discussion that lasted 25 minutes, covering basic HR questions.

All six rounds were completed in four days, and the very next day, I received a verbal offer! The process was smooth, with quick responses and supportive HR staff. The senior management is impressive, and the office environment is great, with perks like free food and a free cab service.
