The recruiter reached out through Linkedin. The whole process took 2 weeks

Round 1 | Problem Solving and DSA | Online (Elimination round)

  • Medium level question. It was a chess board related problem. Needed to implement DFS and optimise on the directions of movement.
  • Medium level question on dynamic programming

Following 3 rounds were onsite and were concluded on the same day.
Round 2 | Problem Solving and Low Level Design | Onsite

  • Medium level question based on sliding window algorithm.
  • Ticketing Sytem for low level design : Discussed class diagrams, methods, fields and the flow of execution. Drew Sequence diagrams. Also discussed on API design (used Richardson Maturity Model), number of APIs to be added, request structure and validations and response entities.
    Lastly discussed on Database design. Tables, columns and ER diagrams.

Round 3 | Tech + Behavourial | Onsite
The round was entirely based on resume. Deep dive into the projects worked upon. Failures and accomplishments along the way. Used Star approach. Be thorough on what is written in resume.

Round 4 | System Design | Onsite
Design Tinder.
Was given10 Minutes to gather my thoughts and list all the components and building blocks which will be used in the design. Then was asked to whiteboard the design. Deep dive into most of the components.
Basic Questions to address

  • Functional Requirements
  • Non Functional Requirements
  • Capacity Planning
  • Which db to use sql vs non sql?
  • What building blocks to use, and why?
  • Fault Tolerance
  • Scale
  • Interactions between different components
    Major discussion was on the proximity service and data storage

All the rounds were concluded within 4 days. And confirmation was provided 2 days after the onsite interviews.

The recruiter was very prompt. The offer was released in a week.
The entire process was smooth and enjoyable.
