I wanted to share the 2 questions I had to face in the online assessment challenge that can help a lot of members here who are aiming to crack the interviews at Amazon.

Background:
I am a Software Engineer who is working in the bay area in a startup with an experience of close to 1.5 years.

So, I had to face the exact first 2 problems in the link which was shared by @Sithis

Both top N competitors and the Zombie problems were quite interesting and challenging. Althought the zombie problem was twisted in terms of description, the scope of the problem was exactly the same. Instead of Zombies, it was updating the adjacent servers in least possbile number of days.

My tips with respect to facing online assessments for Amazon would be to manage time effectively. I spend exactly 45 minutes each for both the problems.

Also, when I heard that I was moved to the on-site round at Seattle, I was super excited. Because, my solutions had passed 20 test cases each out of 21 test cases. I think they saw the approach here and also the correctness to an extent. So, don't be disappointed if all test cases dont pass. It's about how well can you manage time and get as close as possible to the solution.
