I am sharing my expereince for the Amazon frontend interview.

Onsite:
1 - First interview was to code a paginated widget of Addresses. Imagine you are a seller with a list of address you ship to an need to view them 5 address per page, with the possibility to go previous and next. Interviewer was really kind and made me focus on important bits. Which are the logic for disbaling and enabling previous and next button depending on data size. CSS for the layouts, Data and props modelling.
2 - This was a system design. I was asked to design a Restaurant listing aplication where user can make orders and customize their orders by adding additional stuffs like toppings, salads etc. I was lucky here because I work at one of the largest food delivery company in the world and own a very active microfrontend. This was a breeze for me.

3 - This was a OOD where I was asked to implement a Thsearus class for easy access , insertion and searching. Interviewer mentioned they are not overly interested in fancy algorithms here but how you can write sacalabke and maintaineble code. The tricky part was how to store related words without duplication and not using too much memory. I couldn't think of a really good way other than a Map and and adjacency list. I was vocal that I knew something is missing but I am not able to think through. Interviewer then gave a hint that I caught up on and quickly solved.

4 - Was Bar raiser. O boy, the LP here were tough. The BR was an hard tackler. It was the hardest and the one I think I bombed. It was 2am my time and i was struggling. The coding was similar to the Thesarus , but I needed so many hints. Thought this would be my undoing, but I was lucky.

5- Manager, this was all LP . Very nice guy and extremely friendly. I was able to give very detailed story of my expereince

Takeaway
Every session starts with 2 or 3 LP. This is super important , more so for L5 and above. I am lucky to have worked on important projects so this helped. I wasn't obssesd with all the article online about STAR format and how you should have 2 stories per LP. My approach was to have like 10-15 solid stories that can be adapted to any LP - sounds difficult , but I found it much more practical. Then for LP around conflict,compromise I prepared special stories for those.

I really loved the proceess. Each interviewer made it clear what they were focusing on at the beginning of interviews. I was never left to wonder. So this made me focus on what's important and execute fast. Remenber you will never have enough time, so you need to show good signals as soon as possible.
