Wrapped up my Onsite with Atlassian and wanted to give you guys extra study tips to ace your upcoming interviews with them.
I would also recommend going through this Leetcode Discussion post to gain more insight as well.
YOE: < 1
OA: 90mins (First round)
I was given a code signal with 3 questions in the range of leetcode easy - medium to solve in the span of 90 minutes. As long as you can solve 2/3 of these you should be able to make your way to the second round.
System Design: 1hr (Second Round)
Spoke with a Senior Architect for an hour and was asked to design a job scheduler system for Atlassian products such as Trello, Confluence etc. Main focus that the interviewer cared about was API design, High level Data Schema, tradeoffs etc. I lucked out by getting a nice interviewer and this was my first ever system design interview so honestly if I made it past this you guys should be fine.
================================================
Onsite: 5hr 30mins (Final Round)
Split into 5 different sections: System Design, Values Interview,Hiring Manager Interview, DS/Algo Interview, and Code Design.
System Design:
Q: Design a system that allows users to select their favorite colors and share them with friends.
Values Interview:
More behavioral questions tailored toward the values. Study the values and make it look like you care and you'll be fine.
Hiring Manager Interview:
Basic behavorial questions. ie: Name a time you had to give someone feedback
Code Design:
Was given this exact problem.
DS/Algo:
This was the final problem I was given.
Peace out and goodluck!
