Behavioral Interview, asking regarding how to work on a project with no previous experience / How to manage time conflict with co-workers - Not so sure how it went, it was smooth discussion.
ML system design - Initially started with simple ML theory and jumped into the ML system design, I really have no idea how to answer this kind of question.
a. Initially asked from data collection & labeling : this was the toughest for me, How do we collect data & how do we label them? Interviewer kept digging
b. Brainstorming what data to use / how to featurize - Given a system goal, what data will be useful & how will you feed into the model?
c. What model / what cost function will be used - Is it classificiation ? regression ? if both, how will you manage cost function
d. Metric - offline / online A/B testing - how will you do
Very easy LC type question - Graph, I have nailed this round and solved all problems (2 initially - completed within 15 minutes) and discussed extra follow up question and completed interview session 20 minutes earlier since there was nothing left to discuss
Machine Learning Theory / ML coding round - It was a sampling question, I knew what it was but I only partially remembered. was able to somehow do the thing with interviewer's guid
Status : Immediate reject very next day
Round 2, I know it was a disaster, was explaining very mediocre way - all my experience is limited to
Given dataset, doing either modeling or optimizing and pass it to product team, hope someone can give a good material or way to study this part.
Round 3, I'm highly confident I really did great since interviewer also mentioned he never saw anyone who completed this early but optimally correctly.
Round 4, ML theory I answered all correctly, but sampling coding I did not do great
