Amazon came on-campus for recruiting final year students for the role of SDE intern(6 months).
Around 1100 students from our college applied for it. Only 40 students including me cleared the online Assesment. These 40 students are called for virtual Interviews on Amazon chime. My interview was taken by an SDE-2. He started with the coding questions. The questions asked were:

  1. Given a Linked List sorted by absolute values, Sort the linked list based on Original Values.
  2. Minimize cost of painting N houses with 3 colors such that adjacent houses have different colors

Solved both of these within 50 minutes with best possible answer. Time complexity is O(n) and space complexity is O(1). We still had some time remaining, so he asked one more question
The question is we have to find number of subarrays with average less than k.
Solved this with brute force approach, since there isn't much time left(10 minutes). Then, he concluded the interview.
Irrespective of my performance in the interview I didn't get a mail for the second interview round. Even the interviewer looked satisfied with my answers at the time of interview. But, still I got rejected. I was so disappointed with this experience.
