Since there are not a lot of GS Virtual Super Day experiences shared, I wanted to share mine, so this might help future readers.

Interviewed with GS 3 months back, YOE - 3

3 Rounds each were 45 mins long

Round-1: Resume Based Round

The interviewers will pick a project from your resume and question your design decisions, they present really good edge case scenarios for your project and see how you handled them or would've handled them or they see if you can foresaw the issues they point out in your design(Eg : choice of DB), they dig very deep and at the same time I was asked some core DB concepts, REST API basics nothing too complex here but basics are important.

Round-2 : Architecture Based Round

Was asked how I would design (Completely verbal, atleast for me, no drawing) an e-commerce website with scalability in mind. Once done the interviewers question your solution and choice of technology at every stage and give you scenarios
Eg: "What if two people are trying to buy same item, and only one is present in inventory" and many more.

Then they dug deep into Distributed Systems, how they work, more specifically how databases handle replications, failures in the network, how to improve database performance and then was also asked on NAS, SAN, also when to use Relational vs NoSQL DB, asked to elaborate reasons when I gave some with examples.

What are different transaction isolation levels.

Round-3 : Problem Solving and Software Development Life Cycle

Asked about different stages of Software Development, asked about testing experience.
Please go through all the testing stages (I screwed up here).
Asked about scenarios from my personal experience.
Asked about cloud technologies and Pros and Cons of popular Cloud Service Vendors (No clue! 🤦)

2 Problems - 30 Mins (have to execute)

  1. Balance Parenthesis (Finished within 10 mins)
  2. Integer to Roman (Couldn't solve it in time, but at the end shared an idea for solution, the interviewer agreed, gave me a hint too, but I was stuck for the most part, but just kept trying and was speaking my mind).

TLDR? Look Below

I was told GS Superdays are pretty easy, but the interview was no push over, you can ace it but you should know what to expect, maybe some might find it easy, maybe it was not that tough but since they kept digging I could've felt it was tough, idk

Advice : Go through SDLC, Prepare for Scenarios - If you don't have a scenario you can let the interviewer know and they'll change, but don't fake, as they dig so deep, they'll figure out; keep your distributed DB basics strong, know your System Design, I covered as much as I can remember.

Good Luck to those giving Superday interviews, Hopefully this helps, Good Luck! :)
