It feels pathetic when somebody work day and night to get into Amazon without knowing which all bad tactics Amazon use on their employees. I know bunch of friends who joined Amazon as engineer and were forced to leave from there within few months.
Amazon managers have URA quota (attrition) which is around 20 % most of the times. i.e. every year 20% of engineers have to forcefully leave (They call this pip).
The bad thing is that Amazon managers are hire new engineers and then fire within few months just to meet their URA quota.
There are thousands of engineers recycled here in month. This is unhuman thing. They exploite there engineers to work > 12 hours a day and fear and torture them. This is hire to fire.
This is the reason why Amazon hiring never stops in year. Who would like to work in sit horrible place.
Nobody will want to spoil his wlb and mental health. I saw some of my friends exploited so badly they partially
became mentally weak because of these things.
Which other company gives only 5% stock vest in first year. All other companies give atleast 20-25% stocks vest.
Because at amazon its known you are not supposed to stay here for long.
