Hi,
I interviewed with Amazon last week for an experienced SDE-I role. It was supposed to be SDE-II but they lowered to SDE-I as I'm a new graduate. The process took 2 months, from OA to recruiter reaching out. Later the Hiring manager had a chat with me and gave me an understanding of the team.

The Loop (Onsite) consisted of 4 rounds of interviews.

  1. Round 1 had 15 minutes of chat and Leadership principles with a Hard Dynamic Programming Question. I struggled a bit with the DP question but answered LP very well.
  2. Round 2 had a conversation with hiring team manager and consisted of 25 minute LP questions and an Object Oriented Design Coding.
  3. Round 3 was DP hard question and the interviewer was pretty chill. He was the Bar Raiser and asked many follow up questions regarding LP and the code.
  4. Round 4 was the best, Hard level strings question and the interviewer was cool but went on with LP questions for 30 mins

Ultimately Amazon wanted a really experienced candidate/Coder who could score 10/10 in the Behavioural section. Hence, if you have an Amazon Interview prepare really well for LEadership Principles. Take 2-3 days and invest it on preparing really good situations and stories.
