Amazon Onsite Rounds
After being shortlisted from Online Assessement round(https://leetcode.com/discuss/interview-question/1079508/amazon-online-assessment-europe-2020), I was selected for Amazon onsite rounds (Had 4 interview rounds + 1 round Intro round) and was asked to start preparing for onsite round. i was given 3 week long time and couple of interview preparation materials by HR. HR was nice. He regularly kept followup meetings on if I am not missing anything on preparation side. Finally 23rd March 2020 arrived. Interviewing panel did my brainstorming for 5 hours.
First hour was for introducing me to Amazon cultiure, various projects that they have and technologies etc.
From second hour onwards, each round (45-50 min each) started. At the end of 5 hours, I was fully blank and was not in positions to think anything at all; Well, that was very nice experience overall though.
Round 1:
Leadership questions:
1. Tell me about the time when you had received unexpected feedback, how did you work on it and How did you measure the improvement
2. What is something that you did apart from your role(BAU) ?Coding Question:
Write a code to find best way to buy and sell stock given an array having stock prizes for i+1 day.

Leadership questions:
1) Tell me about the time when you requested to compromise the quality and high standards in your project?
2) Can you tell me about caculated risk tool you used by refusing anything(delivery time for example)
3) Can you tell me the time when you had multiple option to situation, you didnont have time and explore all options but you need to choose one?
4) Tell me about the time when you worked to improve the quality even when didnot get good feedback.System Design Question:
Design an online booking system. How will you manage the multiple users booking the same ticket ?Round 3:
Leadership questions:
1) Can you tell me the time when you had to research and choose a solution (how did you manage learninng those all new technologies)
2) Was there a time when you had tight deadline delivery and did you make any compromise ?Coding Question:

3) Tell me the time when you had lesser daya but you need to make decision?Coding Question:
Design a file search functionality to have search by size, name or extension etc.
# Here basically interviewer wanted me to write a generic function which can except any type of parameter. I found question very simple.
# There can be two ways. One to have all byParam in method. Something like

# fileSearch(String ext, String name, long size)
#
# Here issue was if you add one more search by paramater you will have to modify function defination.
# So is there any way we can have generic solution. *The day was 23rd March 2020(The day from when entire nation went under lockdown, wherein whole world was already in lock down situation due to covid 2019). After that day, HR had couple of discussion with panel and they internally decided for nont to proceed ahead with my application. I asked them if there is problem with skillset or such so that i can improve next time. But they mentioned that due to technical discrepencies(Maybe lock down. I am from India and this position was for Spain and spain already had so many covid cases by the time in march) they wont be able to offer me.
Such a sad news and say day for me.
