First of all thanks to this platform and discussion section for all the help. I wouldn't be where I am if you guys and this platform wouldn't be so helpful.
I applied for Amazon New Grad in first week of September with a referral.
They took about 5 months to send first OA. I heard horror stories about people being put on waitlist after passing all the interviews so I finished all three assessments within a week after I got the first one. A little backstory, I discovered leetcode a day after receiving OA for SWE Intern at Amazon back in 2019. A friend told me about it and I loved the platform and been using it since. Ofcourse I got rejected back then with one week of preparation during internship OA, I couldn't solve any questions on OA2. Since then I've solved about 230 problems mostly being medium. So, I was confident and this was supposed to be my rebound. I heard, almost everyone gets a chance at interview if they do good in OA. I haven't received a single interview in over a year so I was really excited when I got a chance at Amazon OA. I received a rejection email today stating my performance in OA was not good enough. Here's how it worked out.
OA1 - Debugging - 7/7
OA2 - Got all test cases correct with optimal approach within 20 mins. I commented code and mentioned complexities. I would say questions were easy/medium. I was hoping for tough ones since they would give me a chance to showcase my real potential.
OA3 - I think I did good but since there is no way of finding out my performance in this OA, so going with the worst case approach I would say I bombed it.
I don't know what to say, I am not as sad as I should be for getting rejected from one company I really wanted to work at. I feel better than before actually knowing I learned from all these things. I think getting rejected by Amazon during Intern OA was one of the best thing happened to me since it introduced me to Leetcode. But ofcourse I won't be applying to Amazon again.
Thank you so much guys <3
