Man I don't know this interview went wrong but it did.

Format: some resume questions, 1 LC easy, 1 LC medium

They saw that I worked on an app at my last company, and started asking me about scalability and databases, and I had honestly no clue about scaling. I just said I'd do replication.

Next 2 questions were fairly simple. Can't share the details but they're both from Bloomberg tag, and if you go through the solutions for the most frequent questions, you're bound to find them.

First one went well, did it in like 10 minutes. He wanted the code a little cleaner, so we adjusted it.

Second one, damn damn. It was sooo easy, literally coded the solution yesterday. Simple tree question, but when I proposed my solution, which I could've coded in 2 minutes, he didn't like it. I didnt have a formal base case for my recursion, bad I know, but the code worked!

Ended up asking me to do it his way, which I tried to follow, but it was just so hard to guess what he was thinking. Couldn't take the hints and it went from a 2 minute problem to 30 minute hassle, finishing right at time.

Got the rejection the next day. What a bummer, didn't think I'd bomb an interview over something like this.
