Position: Software engineer
Due to a signed NDA I cannot talk about questions, but will tell you about my interview experience and preparation.
Facebook recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn first. We had a phone call immediately after that, in which recruiter asked me few basic multiple choice situation type questions from Android.
All Facebook recruiters I worked along this interview process were excellent. They helped me a lot in all the steps.
Preparation:
I asked 4-5 weeks for preparation and concentrated on the medium & some hard questions in Leetcode. Practiced around 200 questions (150 M & 50 H). Also used Leetcode interview experience page to get some sample questions for mobile application design round (this helped me a lot).The prep materials provided by the recruiters were helpful as well.
Initial Phone in round :
Interviewer asked 2 medium Leetcode questions with some alterations to the question. I found optimal solutions for both. Coderpad was the tool used to write the code, it was pretty straight forward.Next round was the virtual onsite, they scheduled it after 3 weeks.

Design round:
Question was to design an android app. I explained all aspects of the application well I think. Interviewer mainly concentrated on one screen and it's optimization. Talked about the steps to optimize the data loading, network layer, battery optimization, sqllite db optimization, unit testing, db table design for syncing etc.
Algorithms & data structure round 1:
Asked 2 medium type Leetcode questions with some special optimization questions as follow up. I got optimal solution for both. Interviewer was very helpful.
Algorithms & data structure round 2:
In this round I got a new question that I never heard before. But I did some analysis first and asked 5 min to think, then I got the optimal solution for the problem. That was a hard question I think, so only one question in this round.
Behavioral:
This one was easy, all expected questions only about the challenges and strength etc. Prepare for some general behavioral questions that should be enough.
2 days after the virtual onsite I got offer from Facebook.
