First round was just a 45 min technical phone interview. They took problem straight from LeetCode: https://leetcode.com/problems/missing-number/solution/

They are expecting O(1) solution so just use Gauss' Formula.

Second round was also 45 min interview. Was asked question involving stacks, similar to balanced parentheses. Pretty simple, overall.

Here's where things got a bit weird. The interviewer then asked me questions straight out of a consulting interview, like if you had a product you want to sell, how would you price it? What factors? How would you estimate the demand, etc. I am interviewering for a SOFTWARE ENGINEER position, not CONSULTANT, not BUSINESS. Tried to give my best shot but received a rejection afterwards. I am guessing it was a combination of lack of fit and the strange consulting problem. To be honest, got the feeling that Foundry.ai is just a bunch of frat bros from UPenn trying to make it big. They seem to want their engineers to be pros at sales and other business related stuff too.
