Position: Software Engineer (New Grad)

First, had a recruiter screen.

Then set up a one hour technical phone interview. Question had to do with tree dfs and serialization.

Onsite was 7 hours long (yes, that long). One of the rounds was 2 hours that involved building a key-value store that could handle rollbacks. Another round was a "project manager" round where you had to simulate interacting with a project manager. Another round was a LC hard, involved recursively backtracking on serialization of strings. You can expect another round where basically they have you play with Coda's product and you tell them why you're passionate about it.

Got rejected. Kind of expected it though, found the questions to be hard. But even if got offer, not sure would take since I don't really see Coda becoming anything big. The learning curve is far too high for an average office worker and even if you spent time learning it, I don't think the payoff would be worth it.

Overall, was very quick with their resposnes so kudos to them for it.
