Had my Bloomberg onsite today, and I thought it went decently.
Round 1 (1 hour):
2 Leetcode mediums very similar to current Bloomberg tagged questions. Spent a lot of time talking through my first solution and also talking about a project I had on my resume, so I ended up not having time to implement the 2nd question. The interviewer didn't seem concerned about that though.
Round 2 (1 hour):
2 more Leetcode mediums, both of which I've never seen before. The first wasn't too bad. The second I struggled with a bit but eventually got it after I received a few hints (not sure how much this will affect me).
About 10 minutes after that last interview I received a call from a recruiter asking if I was available for an HR interview and then I hopped back on the video call and did that for about 45 minutes.
What confuses me though is that in almost every post I've read, applicants that made it to the HR round ended up having the Hiring Manager round too. I felt as though I did well during the HR round, so I don't think that would have disqualified me from the HM round. Any ideas as to why this may have happened? I don't think my performance was good enough to skip the HM round either.
Anyways, studying the Bloomberg questions helped me tremendously for this interview. I believe I've gone through about 95% of all the tagged Bloomberg questions. I've also done about 300 leetcode questions in total. About 50/50 easy medium with a few hards here and there.
