Hi,
since a few weeks now FAANG and other Silicon Valley Companies / Start-Ups started to accept applications for their summer internships programs. In hope to catch one of those internship positions, I applied to roughly a dozen tech companies some weeks ago.
So far I have got only two reponses apart from the no-reply@coolcompany.com, Subject: "We received your application". One OA and a straight rejection. What about the others? How long does it take on average to get any response? Since summer internships start only in a approx. 6 months, am I panicking? Is it common practice to simply never answer candidates? All the roles seem to be still open on their career page.
Any insights on the application process and timeline for internships from anyone with more experience than I have would be helpful! Until then I keep practicing coding questions here on LC. This website is awesome and the discussion board is really insightful as well. The community spirit motivates me to keep practicing and improving on coding questions. This is one of the very few places where people talk so open and honest about rejection.
