Current YOE: 6+ at one of the top mobile industry.

It was my first attempt at FAANG and missed the chance to be part of it by an inch. Overall it was a nice experience and good learning for me.
I started Leetcoding in month of April and have solved over 500+ problems till now.

Process::
Recuriter contacted me over linkedin and discussed on my current role.

Phone Screen:
1 LC Hard- My first solution was no where near to the actual solution, but interviewer gave critical hint and feedback and i was able to code working solution.
1 LC Medium - Discussed the approach , didn't ask me to code. Interviewer was happy with my Time complexity and Space complexity calculation.

Was informed next day i cleared phone screen and scheduled my onsite after two months.

Onsite:
Round 1: Behavioral
Standard FB behavior questions, there were many follow up for every questions.
Feedback : 'Strong Hire' and good fit for FB.

Round 2: Coding
LC Medium: Based on reservoir sampling.
I misunderstood the problem and over compilcated the solution, interviewer gave me hint but still i wasn't able to catch that. In my mind i knew i screwed it, but in the last ten mins i was able to get the solution interviewer was expecting. I coded the final solution.
Feedback : 'Weak Hire' Expected to solve two questions and took some hints.

Round 3: Coding
LC Medium: I told him i got the same question in phone screen, still we went ahead and discussed most optimal solution. Did not code.
LC Medium: Standard Array problem. Coded it quickly.
LC Hard: I started with wrong approach in this one and by the end he gave me a hint and i quickly told him the approach and solved it optimally, no time to code.
Feedback : 'Hire' , Took some hints.

Round 4: Design
It was a product design interview, it was just me who did most of the talking on various use cases, techology, scenarios and scalbility. .. We both didn; realize when the time got over. He was happy with overall design. Asked me if given half n hour more what new thing i will add or consider.
Feedback : 'Strong Hire'. I din touch much on API design and low level arch.

Next day recieved a mail that there is some mixed signal over my coding and they want to do another follow up coding.

Follow up Coding After two weeks of onsite:
Interviewer knew this is a follow up and looking for some specific signals and informed me that there will be hard stop of 15mins and he will ask three questions. I panicked very badly.
LC Medium: One DS that you learn in first class of your DS paper, i missed lots of edge cases , got nervous and couldnt regain control.
Anyways i was able to code this with hints, but no time left for dry run.
LC Medium: This went well, i gave optimal solution and coded it. Did mistake while doing a dry run of corner case which interviewer corrected.
LC Hard: Discused the approach and various edge cases and complexity. He was happy with the solution
Feedback: 'Hire'.

Recuriter contacted me next day and told they were expecting 'Strong Hire' in follow up round.
Apparently first question in follow up round costed me my offer, any other day i would have solved that problem, but the interview pressure got me and i was not the best of me.
Anyways it was my first interview after 6year, i was bit rusty.

And YES , TODAY WAS NOT MY DAY BUT ONE DAY IT WILL BE!!!
