Currently MS in CS student @ USA - Graduating in December 2020.
2 years experience as SDE in India before I came for masters.
I had applied for MTS role at Nutanix San Jose via their site and was contacted by the recruiter a week after that.
- Round 1
- Interview with the hiring manger
This seemed to be the round where the hiring manager checks if you are good fit.
It had 2 coding questions where you share your screen and write the code.
I was given 2 LC hard questions to solve within 1 hour, was not expecting this.

This interview started with normal resume discussion and jumped to 2 coding quesitons,

The second question was somewhat a design discussion sort of question but with some code for the algorithm, it was a question on Map and heap.- Interview 2
This interview again started with resume discussion and jumped to 1 coding question.

- Interview 2
All the virtual rounds were on glider where you share your screen and code the approach and run a few test cases.
After these rounds, I was contacted by the recruiter for the final round with the VP of engineering at Nutanix.
This round was mostly resume discussion, system design questions and behavioural questions. I was asked questions like how do you secure an API, what ecryptions would you use for a given scenario etc.
I think I bombed this round as I could not answer most of the question as I am have only worked with my company's internal frameworks to approach such design problems and the abstraction level is too high to know what happens under the hood.
