I\'m an MS in CS student from one of the top 50 universities in the US. I was recently offered the role, so I wanted to give back to this hard working community by sharing my experience and hopefully help someone in the process. \n\nI applied for the New Analyst 2021 position on the Goldman Sachs website, in late July.\n\n**Coding Assessment:**\nA couple hours later the same day, I got a Hackerrank assessment and had a week to complete it. At the time I was extremely busy with finals at University, so I asked for another week of extension and it was granted. I took the test in early August. Both my HackerRank questions were Leetcode hard level, but definitely doable by practicing the Goldman Sachs Leetcode questions.\n\n**Hireview Interview:**\nAbout two weeks later, I was invited to give a behavioral Hireview interview with them. There were six questions in total and I was given a minute to prepare and two minutes or so to answer the question. You won\'t be able to re-record your answers. They asked me questions like walking through my resume, why I\u2019d fit the role, some situation based questions and a question about a specific division at Goldman Sachs. \n\nTips:\nI\u2019d suggest reading through their website and making sure you have some fundamental idea about what each division does. I was a little nervous when I felt like I was rambling sometimes, but make sure you try to sound confident, use some hand gestures as you would in a real interview and make sure to use the STAR technique when talking about accomplishments/projects.\n\n**Superday:**\nAfter around 20 days (mid-September), I was invited for a Superday interview, which took place 5 days after receiving the invite. There were 2 interviews, each one hour long, scheduled back-to-back.\n\nTips:\nI prepared a lot of Goldman Sachs Leetcode questions, brushed over CTCI and most importantly, I made sure I knew every bit of my resume and the technology I mentioned in my projects. I also prepared questions about the company that I wanted to ask at the end of the interviews. \n\n**Superday Interview 1:** I was interviewed by two people in this interview. These were the type of questions asked:\n* Basics from the interviewer\'s area of expertise (Eg: Networking, Infrastructure, Security,etc.)\n* Behavioral based on resume and situational questions\n* A Leetcode easy coding question\n\nBoth interviewers were very poilite and helped me out when I didn\'t know the exact answer to a situational question. The interview ended after I asked a couple questions about the Engineering division at GS.\n\n**Superday Interview 2:** I was interviewed by two people in this interview as well. These were the type of questions asked:\n* Basics from the interviewer\'s area of expertise (Eg: Networking, Infrastructure, Security,etc.)\n* Questions about version control (Git)\n* Several Leetcode easy questions \n* Questions based on my resume\n\nThe interviewers were quite friendly. The interview ended after I asked a couple more questions about the kind of work New Analysts would do at GS.\n\n**Result:**\nI followed up after three weeks with my recruiter and got a call recently with the offer.\n\nI hope this helped someone on what they *might* expect from an interview with Goldman Sachs for this position. (This was my personal experience and I\u2019m not ensuring that it would be similar for everyone.)\nIt was a pretty positive experience with respectable interviewers.
