Was contacted by a recruiter and even though I was not fully prepared thought to give it a try. Started with phone interview followed by pretty standard virtual onsite consisting of 2 Problem Solving/ Coding, 1 System Design and 1 Behavior round
Due to NDA won't mention the exact questions.
Phone interview:
Question related to permuations and binary search. Popular mediums
Result: Positive
Virtual Onsite
Interview 1:
Question1: Verify an alien dict
Question 2: Related to combination sum
I did OK in this round
Interview 2:
Standard behavior rounds, What did you do When....
I did well in this round
Interview 3:
System design asking to implement a very common feature out of FB app
Lack of practice and lacking real work experience in terms of building scalable app took a toll. I could not finish all functional requirements. Average performance.
Interview 4:
Question 1: Was an easy/medium question based on hashmap
Question 2: Was a HARD problem using recursion
I was bombed in Question 2, kind of froze in the interview and was never able to complete. Later that day I was able to solve problem by getting some hint.
Feedback came in a week but somehow I was hoping it could be a miracle even though I messed one of the rounds
Preparation: Solved 250 leetcode (20% Hard, 60% Medium, 20% Easy)
Covered the problems over the last few years but really started proper preparation from last month.
Overall I would say, I should have practiced more similar questions at FB asked in the past
