Guys its time I give back to the community. I had recently interviewed at Amazon. I wanted to share my experience. I am 70-30 on getting an offer but I really wanted to write this since I have been hustling for the last 6 months. After this I am pretty sure its all luck that lands us in companies. lets see.

Not posting the exact questions due to NDA

Round 1:
Initilal Coding Test in Hackerrank ( 2 questions similar to existing leetcode questions. 1 Medium and 1 Easy). Time 1 hour.

I passed with a lot of time to spare. So got the next round interview easily

Round 2:
Time 1 hour 20 minutes
A Coderpad test similar to round 1. Was with an interviewer in call. The interviewer was nice. The first question was easy leetcode so passed easily. Then second question was a medium leetcode, Solved it during interview since I had already done it before. I hit it off with the interviewer. Solved this too and had quite some time left. So the interviewer told me he was impressed and told he wanted to do only 2 questions but now lets do 3rd since we had a lot of time left. 3rd one, tricky(Leetcode level - between medium and Hard). I started off with a wrong Graph Approach and DFS but then interviewer told me to use Dynamic Programming. Somehow got the solution and solved it. But when I ran the code I was getting output as zero since in 1 place instead on a.first I had written a.second, by mistake. But managed to correct it and submitted at the last moment and all Test Cases passed; The interviewer was impressed

I got call for next round the same night. I scheduled it for next week and prepared my ass off.

Round 3: - WTF Round
I am not sure whether the interviewer didnt like me or not. He asked me questions from Java, c++ , Python , OS , Systems Design, Time Complexity Analysis, Databases, Computer Networks, Data Structures and even Dev OPS
Since I was well prepared, I managed to answer 80 percent questions. I have interviewed at other companies and never had such a what the f*** moment. I was being questioned in every possible aspect of computer science. Thank god I paid attention in some classes in University
but it seemed like he was really grilling me.

Thank god i did not know Klingon, or the interviewer would have asked me that also.

Lost a lot of hopes because of this round. But I am pretty sure no one could have done it better.

Round 4: Was scheduled along with Round 3
Nice Interview and nice interviewer. Kinda friendly also. I managed to get most of it right. Largely on Databases and System Design. Didnt know 2/3 questions out of 30 but overall I was satisfied and guess it went well.

Thats my interview experience, hope it helps. If you guys liked it please upvote. Next time I will try to write about my other FAANG experiences with a little more detail on the questions.
