Are you expected to execute code and pass test cases in interviews?
1305

Now, I'm solving LC questions by hiding topic or difficulty wise. What I see is that, I can solve Easy question in 10 mins. But, at least 60-70% Medium questions I end up spending more than 40 mins. I do come up with a decent/optimized solution within 20-30 mins. But, end up loosing another 20 mins on cases that I may not have thought about.

Please let me know your thoughts on:

  • Do most of the interviews expect you to execute and solve all test cases or interviewers are happy with you implementing the idea?
  • Also, is it a good stratergy to practice LC questions without submitting them? I get only 2-3 hours time after office hours and I get to solve 1-2 medium questions per day. So, want to expidate to solve more (I have solved 180 so far, want to do 100 more. I have another account where I solve)
  • Any tips on how to get faster at solving and also to think all test cases?

Thanks !
