Hi All,

I want to contribute back to the community with my experience with FB. I wont be posting the questions to respect NDA. But will provide details on what to expect.

Facebook: Melon Park
Phone assessment:

1 LC easy + 1 LC medium

For LC medium I gave optimized answer but had a little mistake while coding. Interviewer corrected me and I was able to catch it. I passed it and I believe interviewer took my overall speed and approach and ignored minor mistake.

Onsite: asked for 1.5 months. FB is very flexible and I could have asked for more if I had the patience !!

Round 1:
System Design straight from 1 of the topics in G-r-o-k-k-i-n-g system design. The interviewer was not very communicative and I was explaining 1 way whole time. He was very young. So I feel system design should have been taken by a experienced one. People who have diverse background in technology andrich experience would not go by book and make it very interactive.

Round 2:
Coding: 1 LC Medium
I messed it real bad. Could not keep it calm and screwed up despite knowing it before.I was just not getting over the fact that I am giving onsite in FB !! :). Completely owning my mistake. Interviewer was nice.

Round 3:
Manager Round:

Regular behavioral questions. I could have prepared better for this. But still I feel it was interactive and went well.

Round 4 :
Coding: 1 LC Medium(a variation)

Again knew the answer but messed up while coding. Interviewer was nice.

Lessons: No alternative to practice unless you are a genius. Keep calm and dont rush leetcode. Once resolved see what are the variations of the question. And try to give 2-3 onsites before lifetime opportunities like FB/Google onsite.
I felt interview was easy, but main thing is speed and accuracy in both explanation and while coding.

all questions were from FB top 100 or a variation of them.

By far FB recruiters are the best. No delay tactics, no playing with candidates by not responding like others(MS/Amazon). Very transparent. Kudos to them.

Preparation Material:
Leetcode
g-r-o-k-k-i-n-g for system design
Youtube Videos:
Tushar Roy(good ones for graphs)
MyCodeSchool(every beginner should watch them)
