The bots can be deployed on refrigerators, microwaves, etc. The army of bots should be able to download the entire Wikipedia site, sense changes and download these changes.

Clues from interviewer: reason to deploy to on refridgerators & other connected devices is to appear as a different ip address to wikipedia and so as to wiki not block you. If you try to access/download wiki from a single ip address then wiki might throttle you or even block you due to many requests from the same ip.
