Verdict: Rejected
Reason: Overqualified for the job.
During this pandamic, where job searching has become a nightmare for candidates, I was rejected for being overqualified for the post.
I have been giving interveiws and not getting a job. Finally when I made it to the last round (technical +HR), I was sure that today is the day I bag an offer. Throughout the interview, my interviewer was impressed, telling me I'm very talented. He also suggested me to go for higher education, but I told him that's not what's in my mind. At the end of the interview, he told me that I was clearly overqualified for the job.
Getting rejected for this reason is something i never imagined.
If i was not interested in the job, I would not have applied in the first place.
