Hi Leetcode Community, just went through a round with Facebook and I'd like to share my experience. Overall it was a very well ran interview process. I personally haven't interview in a long time, so getting back on the treadmill was an good first experience. Coding on coderpad leaves a lot of be desired. My postmortem is focused on Behaviors, System Designs and Data Structure / Algo theories not just LC/FB tagged questions.

Part of my preparation was all of FB tagged questions.

Behavior Phone Screen

Standard Leadership Questions

Onsite

Round 1 : Coding (45 minutes)
1 Leet Code Easy (FB Tagged)
Binary Search Problem. Solved.

1 Leet Code Medium (Non FB Tagged)
Top-K Problem. HashMap + Priority Queue. Solved.

Round 2: Behavior (45 minutes)
Standard Leadership Questions. Deeper dive into working experience.

Round 3: Coding (45 minutes)
Graph Compression. Couldn't solved (cost me the offer)

Round 4 : System Design (1hr)
A Facebook feature relating to global maps. Spent a lot of time talking about data partitioning & different trade offs.

Round 5 : System Design (1hr)
Coding competition and realtime rank. Spent a lot of time talking about about trade offs between ranking, compute, etc.

Recruiter intial feedback was positive (-1 coding), but it wasn't enough to clear the bar for hiring committee.
