Wasted life for FAANG, Amazon SDE-1 and still depressed

The interviews are very hard, and there is so much luck involved.
You prepare so hard to get into good universities.
Then you have to keep practice DSA and grind leetcode which eats up so much of your time.
Do you think life will finally get easier? NO!

Work is hectic in tech companies, especially these top tech companies. Do not for a second think that you will get the work of your choice, lower level engineers are just put up in any project and then laid off if you do not meet the mark. Some of my friends already got PIPPED here at Amazon.
Politics exist in all these top companies, you would be more focussed on other stuff than actually developing software.
I honestly will say I used to love developing software, but not this way. My friends at startups are happier. The only thing I have more than them is a great salary, but what do I get to do with this salary when I have no time to enjoy the things in life.

So many people I have talked to say they just wish they could go back to their college days and enjoy life. My advice to all of you is enjoy our college days, keep doing personal projects, do some innovative things in CS. Join any company of your choice, that $150K at FAANG is just not worth it!

Any senior engineers here who would like to comment on this? Is it only me or you also feel like this?
