Time to give back.
Total Exp : 7.5 yrs
Interview process took 3 months.
Since I had interviewed before I was directly scheduled for full loop.
Coding Round : 1
Easy string question : solved it in 10 mins but missed one technicality for string addition, because of this the seemingly O(n) solution became O(n^2). Quickly corrected it after interviewer pointed it out. Interview concluded there.
Feedback : mixed for this one due to this one overlook
Coding Round : 2
Easy prefix sum question followed by med-hard , solved it in 20 ish mins. the followup involved prefix sum on 2D Grid. Was able to code it but since time was up cound't dry run. Interviewer looked satisfied though.
Feedback: mostly strong hire
Coding Round : 3
Don't remember exactly but probably a medium map related question.
Feedback : hire
LP round
Prepared for this round with good situations so was able to give strong resonating scenarios with my past experince.
Feedback : hire
System Design
Prepared with hello interview and also my past projects designs. Got lucky here as the one system I had prepared just the day before was asked. I felt I crushed this round, drove the discussion by myself to every corner and was able to cover multiple NFR's in depth.
Feedback : strong hire
Feedbacks I have assigned according to my confidence level since I only know overall and not round wise feedback.
I had just joined another organization during the start of interview process, so I was not looking for a switch immediately either. But TM took close to a year and I had completely forgotton that I was still in the process. Still I only received like 2-3 relevant match calls. 1-2 domain unrelated so I rejected (so for people in pipeline for long time, there still might be hope). Eventually one of the projects in my current org ended up being a plus for the team that I joined.
Past interview experiences from LeetCode helped massively. For coding rounds I only did blind 75 and past interview questions. You might even say that question overlap was 100% or I got lucky.
Now, I know you guys don't need free advise but here are my 2 cents anyway :)
