Applied on Microsoft L62 SDE2 roles in Hyderbad and Noida locations by referral.

GOt First call from Hyderbad team for OA.

  1. OA : 2 ques. first is med stack question and second is hard DP question:

  2. Interview told there would be 2 Rounds on one after the other. Based on that 3rd and 4th round would be scheduled.

  3. DSA Round scheduled: Interviewer was not prepared for round so asked a Binary Search problem. SImple to solve and discussed in 20 mins. Rest time asked some questions related to computer OS, fundamanetals. Feedback Strong hire

  4. DSA round 2: Interviewer asked a Priority queue question with custom sort functionality of sorting. Need to be well versed with implementation and writing clean code for PQ, Struct and custom comparator. Feedback Strong hire:

  5. 3rd Round HLD: Senior Microsoft Manager: Asked to design a Proxmity service where there are multiple stores in an area and custom needs to search the the nearest to him: Failed on multiple places while designing: Feedback No hire

  6. AA Round. Got confirmation for call after 2 days. Interviewer was again very senior person. Started with a DSA question with n straight forward technique. Was a implementation question using 2 data structures. Dig down on complexities and interal implementation of various concepts in C++ like how Set is impleented in C++. how map is ordered, Asked multiple OS questions in last 15 mins like Threads vs process, Virtual memory since the team was OS specific. Wasn't prepared for OS topics, hence failed badly while answering those. Feedback No hire.

Microsoft allows you to have multiple interview one after the another without cooldown policy.

Microsoft Noida Interview Schedule

  1. OA round: 2 ques. 1 med and 1 DP hard.

Same Process. HR asked for 2 rounds one after the another and based on there feedbacks 3rd and 4th round would be scheduled.
2. DSA Round. 2 interviewers were present. One was shdow interviewer. Question was to find the minimum substring length of S string which contains all characters of String t. Both contains only 26 characters. Standard Sliding window question. Interviewer asked complexity and asked to optimise and clean the code. Feedback Strong Hire

  1. LLD round: Interviwer asked to design a alert system. Focused mainly on classes definition and how we defined the overall logic of sending alerts to downstream services. Feedback Strong Hire
  2. Got call for 3rd HLD Round sAME DAY. Interviewer was a Senior PE at microsoft. Asked to design a Payment service like Google Pay. But the question evolved with some different direction. Got some code logic build to handle the classes and data. Then we discussed the concurrency in payment system, debit credit at both users. Round finished in 40 mins and then had a greate discussion with interviewer regarding team and overall culture. Feedback Hire
  3. Got call from HR for final AA Round. Got rescheduled to Next week due to interviwer unavailbility. Interviwer was a senior person and heading AI department. Interviewer started with questions related to AI in Amazon. How AI is being used at Amazon and various questions. Nothing related to tech knowledge. Then asked to code Tic Tae Game and asked me to write a working code. Wrote a complete logic for the playGame method. Asked me to check with CHATGPT and write the same code. Chatgpt wrote similar code. Asked 1-2 other questions. Overall round went well. Feedback Hire:
